Miss Gay Great Lakes America Pageant in Ann Arbor

Following message from the people from Miss Gay Great Lakes America

The theme of our pageant is “Chapel of Love:  Girl Groove Style!”  As you will see, much of what you will experience here has the flavor of the late 1950s and early 1960s!

On Wednesday of pageant week – September 18, 2013 – we will hold a “Pizza & Pop” social at the Cavern Club specifically for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered students and faculty of the University of Michigan!  Sally Sparkles, the reigning Miss Gay America, will speak about her journey from “Small Town to National Crown.”  The pizza and soft drinks are on us!

On Thursday, September 19, 2013, we cordially invite you to the Miss Gay Great Lakes America Kick-Off Party at the Cavern Club!  Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, the original Motown girl group with hits such as “Dancing in the Street,” “Heat Wave,” “Quicksand,” and “Nowhere to Run,” will entertain.  Also slated to appear are some of the best female impersonators in the business – former Miss Gay America titleholders all!

On Friday and Saturday, September 20 & 21, 2013, we will present the Miss Gay Great Lakes America Pageant at the Cavern Club.  During the pageant, contestants vying for the title of Miss Gay Great Lakes America will compete across five major categories:  (1) Male Interview; (2) Solo Talent; (3) Production Talent (akin to a production number); (4) Evening Gown; and (5) Question and Answer.  The contestant with the highest overall score will be the first person to wear the Great Lakes America crown and will receive more than $6,500 in cash and prizes – as well as the honor of competing for the title of Miss Gay America in St. Louis, MO, on October 9-13, 2013.

Check our website – MissGayGreatLakesAmerica.com – for ticket information.

So, here’s what we would like from you!  Can you please email me at:  TheStarGazerGroup360@gmail.com to confirm your attendance at the “Pizza & Pop” social?  We look forward to seeing you there!
